European Commission endorses a positive preliminary assessment of Malta's request for a €52.3 million disbursement under the Recovery and Resilience Facility
The Maltese recovery and resilience plan includes a wide range of investment and reform measures organised in 6 thematic components. The plan will be supported by €258.3 million in grants, 13% of which (€41.1 million) was disbursed to Malta in pre-financing on 17 December 2021.

Malta’s overall recovery and resilience plan will be financed by €258.3 million in grants. Payments under the RRF are performance-based and contingent on Malta implementing the investments and reforms outlined in its recovery and resilience plan.
Respondents massively say (85%) that rising energy prices have had an impact on their purchasing power. 56% agree that recent price increases are mainly due to Russia's aggressive behaviour and 38% disagree.
