TraTra – a translation summer school

TraTra is a unique and innovative four-day programme in which sixth form students will be learning about translation through hands-on exercises, talks and workshops with guest translators from different areas (general, prose, poetry and audio-visual translation). Participants will also have time for guided individual translation with the assistance of the course tutors. 

The programme, which is being held from 4 to 7 September 2023 at Europe House in Valletta, is part of the Translating Europe Workshop programme organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Translation (DGT). This is the first time such a programme is being held within this framework, and the programme is one of the first of its kind. Course leaders: David Aloisio, David Schembri, Pat Vella Briffa .
