The 5th EUNIC Malta Film Festival
Every year, the EUNIC Malta Film Festival showcases films from all over Europe, many of which have never been shown in cinemas locally.
For the landmark fifth edition, the European Commission Representation in Malta is presenting Three Kilometres from the End of the World (Romania, 2024), a drama directed by Emanuel Pârvu, which won the Queer Palm Prize at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
Adi (17) is spending the summer in his home village in the Danube Delta. One night he is brutally attacked on the street, the next day his world is turned upside-down. His parents no longer look at him as they did, and the seeming tranquility of the village starts to crack.
